I have called this site “Interesting Times” after the supposed Chinese “curse”: “May you live in interesting times”. I am not sure that it was ever intended to be a curse (see the Wikipedia entry on it), but I do believe it is an apt description of the times we are living through. Whether we like it or not, we are now living in “interesting times”.
I intend to post about a variety of subjects that interest me, ranging from politics, economics to books, travel and places I like. I have previously written a blog that was limited to tax and housing issues. While I will continue commenting on these areas, this blog will be much wider in scope.
As a retired Employee Benefits and Tax Partner with Baker & McKenzie London, I will also be writing some posts on tax issues and related issues arising from my career.
